In collaboration with DSK/Dewing and Schmid Architects, a classic Lincoln homestead is reconfigured with spaces that now celebrate flow and connectivity. What was once conceived of as simply a "kitchen project" grows to encompass the first floor of this lovely residence. A delightful collaboration with my client brought together the palate of materials, colors and furnishings to represent the warm, cozy home environment that was reflective of her style and the new architecture.

It was a pleasure to work on this project with long time friend and colleague, Architect W. Timothy Hess, who at the time was the Design Director for Platt builders. This project holds a sweet spot in my heart as it represents a truly comprehensive design project. Kitchen design, custom cabinetry, material selection, lighting, color, and a comprehensive furniture and decor' plan. Our goal was to infuse the space with a palate of materials that were inherently "comfortable" and got better with age. Custom cabinetry, soapstone, carefully selected colors, fabrics and the smallest details like cabinet hardware bring together this very special space. I have had the pleasure to work with these lovely clients on many other spaces in their home over the years....this one still stands the test of time.
